So, this fun little fishing thing in town was not really fishing, it was more like catching. HA! I signed the kids up to fish at Clear Lake last weekend in what fish & game calls a Fish-In. It was a great thing for the kids, they were given a shirt, a new fishing rod & reel, and got to catch 3 fish. I think it took Elaina about 3 minutes to catch her 3 fish. They had released 9,000 triploids in a fairly small netted area for the kids to fish in. There were some HUGE fish in the net, the girls thought it was really fun to be able to see the fish swimming around their worm! Although we didn’t catch any of the big ones, the girls had fun catching their 3. They crammed a lot of fun into 10 minutes of fishing!
It was WAY too fast of fishing to take pictures on the dock, but these are in our yard when we got back. Paige & Elaina had a blast learning how to clean the fish, Sydney had no interest in touching the “slimy” fish, she wouldn’t even touch them. :)
