We were going a bit crazy in the house today, thankfully we had some sunshine to go out and enjoy a winter hike at Riverside State Park. The river was rolling! We even went out on the swinging bridge at the Bowl and Pitcher, was a bit eerie to feel it moving under you with the current. Thankfully, we didn’t stay on the bridge too long!
We had a great time enjoying the trails, and of course had to do some off-road hiking too. The kids were eager to explore a little! I think the hit of the trip might have been the patch of black ice we found that the kids were sliding down. Was great til Elaina (why is it always Elaina?) fell and hit her nose (why is it always her face) on the ice. That pretty much ended the ice-sliding! There was no blood, so she toughed it up pretty quick!
